Mobile Phone Photography
Photography is my hobby although I’m not a professional photographer, I’m a Civil Engineer by profession actually but i just love to taking pictures around me in everyday and everywhere… and here I would like to share it some of my works to you – that is Photography from my mobile phone.
So during my working hour in office or in the site I can’t bring my camera with me. All I have with me is my mobile Phone although my mobile phone has only 3.2 mega pixel but it gave me a good photo. By the way, I use Sony Ericsson K800i Cybershot mobile phone. I always look for whether it is a nice scene, object, plant, people, animals, insect or sky which I found it very interesting or somehow bring meanings to my eyes while doing my work whether in the office, house or project site – I just don’t want to miss the chances to capture it... But sometimes the image that I captured was not that good enough to explain how I experience as in actual. Sometimes the photo is too dark, too light or saturated. So what I did - after I took pictures from my mobile phone, I download it into my PC and then I made some adjustment and enhance the color of the image by Photoshop Raw or I could add some more effects by Photoshop CS - and the result… Incredible! - is not that bad at all!… So here are some of the pictures that I took from my mobile phone – before and after so that you can see the difference of my pictures. Some photos I enhance the color – make it more hot or cold color effect and contrast so that you can see the same experience that I have the moment I took the image. I don’t have any formal training actually in Photography nor Photoshop software because frankly I say I don’t have the time attending those classes since I am working. I just self-studied and read some of free tutorial on website. So, those who want to learn about Photoshop Software, you can find it from the Photoshop website and also tutorial files and video in their site. There’s so many useful graphics software actually such as Corel Draw, Ulead, Picasa an so on… I’m sure you can do better than me. And for those who don’t have a digital camera or not a pro photographer – believe me, you can still be a photographer even with your own mobile phone. It’s not only the photo… it is the moment, your experience and the feeling that you enjoyed on that particular time that you took that picture… as if you have captured the very best moment of your day and share it to your friends and family at the end of the day…

Nice sunset photos. I have to admit, I was pretty satisfied with my simple plain phone (no camera, video, qwerty texting options) but... when it came time for me to upgrade those options are now standard. I now use my camera on my phone many times throught the day. Mainly to share photos asap with family and friends, it's truly an awesome feature!
Hey. Thank you but i want to get tips about mobile photography. Can you help you?

Hi Jahnbar, looks like you are brilliant enough to teach yourself new skills just by taking interest in what you like and I kind of like this idea. Do you think if I learn to use POV Ray software I can be able to produce some designs like yours ? How did you find it at first. I currently know how to use Autocad only 2D.

Love taking pictures! My phone does not take good photos at all. I got a small digital, the beat investment I made. Thanks for the hub.
